Could be when you first switch to reserve you are drawing from the bottom of the tank rather than the standpipe for normal and getting whatever gunk and moisture that has collected there. I'd try running about 25 or 50 miles on the reserve position and then remember to turn it back to regular so you have the reserve still. Should purge the bottom fluid when there is lots of good fuel to mix with it. Also depending on where you live, they may be slow or late in switching to warm weather blend fuel. In areas with climate changes the fuel is blended to vaporize at a lower temperature in the winter and higher in the summer. If the bulk plant goofs, or the weather changes suddenly, we all suffer some until fuel stocks are stabilized again. Also I used to live a city that used oxygenated fuel in the winter and the change out in the spring often caused short term problems if the weather got warm quickly. Question I take it AAA will provide services to motorcyclists, that is good news. Max
